I started doing readings for myself and others when I was given my first oracle card deck more than a decade ago. But it wasn’t until I had the privilege of working with horses that it all really opened up for me.
I have had an absolute lifelong love of animals. For as long as I can remember, they responded to me in ways that surprised the people around them. We seemed to have a mutual appreciation and fascination for each other, and it’s one of the greatest joys of my life.
When I had the opportunity to get folded into a horse community in 2011, my eyes were opened to an entirely new way of understanding animal and human relationships. The horses functioned as our teachers and guides time and again over the years, often taking the lead in healing sessions or even helping us manage the various herd dynamics. I was taught the minute details of their body language, the importance of prioritizing a horse’s attention and stress levels over physical “rightness”, and ultimately, how incredibly deep and wise these animals really are.
By the time I started to connect to horses, I had already connected to my own intuitive gifts, offering readings and messages for my close friends and family. The community of animal lovers that came with the horses slowly became a safe and supportive net for me to explore these gifts further.
Shortly after this introduction, however, I would unknowingly be sent on my own dark night of the soul journey spanning most of my twenties. I had to rely on the tools and understandings I learned from the horses and Spirit to slowly rebuild my relationship to myself and my life. This experience has led me to working in mental health, and greatly expanded my understanding of what it means to live an intuitive life. Learning to navigate it through the patience and resilience that can only really come when we’re willing to stop and go within. More often than not, our animals are helpful companions or even catalysts on this path, turning us inward, connecting deeply to our hearts and souls.
It’s truly my honour to be the translator and bridge between people and their animals, their own intuition and spirit team, and ultimately their own selves. As it has done for me, this work truly has the potential to open doors and windows that slowly transform your life.
I am a firm believer and champion in the role intuitive and spiritual guidance can play in helping us navigate the complexities of being human. I also believe this guidance can take many different forms and is understood through many different avenues.
I have inhabited many different phases within my own personal and intuitive growth. I've been the person who's constantly pulling cards to try and get answers to clear the fog of the depression I didn't know I was in. I've read many, many self-help books, followed various gurus, watched The Secret and held tight to the promise of manifestation, past lives, and forays into other realms, all while secretly hoping they would become tools to ensure a good and easy life with no hardship or "wrong" choices. But when it came down to navigating and understanding the complexities of my life, from depression and anxiety, navigating chronic illness, and sudden loss, none of these things actually helped.
Instead, I became connected to wisdom traditions that told me to step away from the technicoloured noise that the spiritual and intuitive world can become and adopt a much simpler, yet much more profound and often difficult approach. To learn to be with it. All of it. To understand deeply and accept impermanence, presence, joy, gratitude, and compassion. To connect deeply to my own, unique set of guides and intuitive channels as central authority figures on my path.
Horses were my first teachers on this path. They were the physical embodiment of presence. They echoed the messages from the wisdom traditions that finally helped me start to heal my confusing and fractured relationship with life, the universe, and my self.
It was this journey and these learnings that created the bedrock for this work and for how I approach the intuitive space.
I believe this connection is meant to help guide us through the inevitable pain, grief, confusion, loves, and joys that make up the human experience. They are not meant to function as a form of escapism or spiritual perfectionism. They make no guarantee of an easier or more lucrative path. There are no silver bullets here to speed your way to health, wellness, happiness, or intuitive enlightenment. All of this is cultivated through walking, one step at a time, along the path.
My goal is to help you connect to these sources of wisdom to walk alongside whatever you're navigating, while offering real, grounded tools to take into your every day life.
I will never claim to know something for sure, and if something doesn't resonate or feels wrong or completely off, I welcome the feedback. This work is based off of intuitive impressions, backed and filtered through my own understanding and experiences. That is why I always encourage people to use their own intuition when engaging with this work and trust their gut.
I will never reach out to someone out of the blue offering a message for them or inviting a reading. I do not receive intuition impressions about anyone outside of a booked session. This would not only violate other people's energetic boundaries and consent, it would also be an exhausting way to live. I have my own very clear boundaries with my guides and those in spirit that ensure this.
I will sometimes make recommendations for further sessions (recommending reiki, for example if it comes through during a communication) but only if I feel guided. I want people to engage with this work of their own authority, not because they felt pressured or upselled in order to do so.
I cannot make any guarantees that what you want to know is necessarily what your animal will want to talk about. Sometimes our questions are masking something underneath that needs addressing, and our animals know this and will redirect to this. I can sometimes redirect to the original question but they truly are the ones who dictate the conversation. And some are a little more outspoken than others!
I will always prioritize their consent during a session and only share what they're comfortable with. It's for this reason that asking about a rescue animal's history can produce mixed results. Animals don't often like to divulge their past, especially if it doesn't have any relevance to the present and might create an emotional story for their person to carry around about them. They also don't necessarily experience their lives as linear and don't always retain details that might seem more relevant to us. I understand the curiosity, but it often won't come up unless it's relevant to a present day issue, something that needs healing or releasing for them specifically, or somehow connected to what they want to share with you.
